Former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq has reportedly become a part of former cricketers who want to work with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The PCB is currently said to be negotiating about roping in the 'doosra' inventor for the National Cricket Academy with his colleague Mushtaq Ahmed, who is a former leg-spinner for Pakistan.

According to the Express Tribune, PCB is hoping that Ahmed, who has been involved with England's bowling setup for the last couple of years, will be able to help Pakistan produce more spinners who can play at the highest level of cricket in the upcoming years.

An official said that Mushtaq has also shown his availability to the PCB in order to work for Pakistan adding that the great bowler now wants to help the country through his coaching.

A senior PCB official also said that Mushtaq is one of the former cricketers who have shown interest in working with Pakistan, adding that currently the board is trying to strike a deal with the off spinner and once they have done that, they will look at other options.

Mushtaq has worked on short-term contracts with New Zealand, Bangladesh and West Indies, coaching the spinners on how to improve their bowling, the report added.
