Steven Gerrard sure is one good dad, as the footie ace recently splurged 100,000 pounds on creating an adventure play area for his kids in the gardens of his new mansion.

The 35-year-old former England footballer, who bid farewell to his 17-year Liverpool career last month, will be including a huge wooden Wendy house, which comes with a private lawn, a 2000 pound tree-house and lounge area with wifi, The Mirror has reported.

The Kop idol's sprawling 6,000 square yard estate will play home to his family of five, including wife Alex, 32, and their three girls: Lilly-Ella, 11, Lexie, nine, and Lourdes, three, when they visit back UK from their new home in Beverly Hills, where he'll stay while playing for MLS club LA Galaxy.

The mansion, which is intended to be Gerrard's permanent base after he retires from football, will have a lavish three million pounds five-bedroom detached home in an exclusive area of Merseyside, a sports deck for yoga mats, a floating bridge with lighting below, a feature Christmas tree in the large driveway and a 5000 pounds David Harber water feature.

The slate-roofed home will also have a ground floor with six reception rooms, a spa, sauna, children's homework room, cinema, gym, and a plant room.
