Increased movement of personnel and vehicles have been detected in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) main rocket launch site, indicating preparations for a long-range missile launch in the near future.
A senior South Korean government official was quoted as saying the moves in the DPRK's Tongchanr-ri missile base have remarkably increased recently, noting that strategic provocations, including a long-range missile launch, seemed to have been prepared, reports Xinhua.
South Korea's military has estimated that Pyongyang could conduct another provocation at or around October 10 to mark the 71st anniversary of the foundation day of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Seoul's military also saw a possibility for Pyongyang's sixth nuclear test at any time in its main Punggye-ri nuclear test site.
This comes as DPRK carried out an explosion test of nuclear warhead to fit on ballistic missiles on September 9 and which was seen as the most powerful nuclear detonation ever by the DPRK.
