'Dream come true' for Lucas Silva post joining Real on long-term contract

Brazilian club Cruzeiro's midfielder Lucas Silva has joined Real Madrid on a long-term contract for a reported fee of 9.7 million pounds.

Silva, who passed a medical on Monday, has signed a contract that would keep him with the European champions until 30 June, 2020. He has represented Brazil at under-21 level and has helped his club side win the league in 2013 and 2014.

Silva claimed that this was a dream come true, adding that he is delighted to be there, the BBC reported.

Silva added that he thanks God, the Cruzeiro and Real Madrid presidents and everyone who helped make this happen. He also said that he is really happy and motivated.

 

Silva claimed that he has come to Real to learn and above all else to help, adding that he feels good and is ready to honour this shirt, which belongs to the best club in the world.

The midfielder also revealed that he has liked Real every since he was a child, adding that he is really happy to be in the city and is certain that he would live very well there.
