Former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn (DSK) has expressed his resentment over the US police's treatment with him especially with regard to his forced participation in the 'prep walk'.

DSK said that it is a terrible thing and despite being standard fare in US, they are not allowed in France, CNN reports.

According to the report, DSK was charged with sexually assaulting housekeeper, Nafissatou Diallo in a New York City hotel, two years ago.

In 'Prep walks', defendants accompanied by police walk in front of photographers handcuffed, and are standard in America.

DSK said that the perp walk takes place at the moment where one is supposed to be innocent, where nobody knows if one is a criminal, the charges to which are to be proved later on, and it is just unfair to put people in that way in front of the rest of the world when it is unclear what one has done.

Diallo had alleged that DSK emerged naked from a room in his luxury hotel suite as she was cleaning it and tried to force himself on her, dragging her into the bathroom and trying to rape her.

While the forensic investigations proved sexual encounter, the prosecutors dropped the charges after concluding Diallo had lied about some details of the alleged attack.

DSK further said that he was angry at his treatment because he did not understand why he had been placed in custody, the report added.
