South African batsman Faf du Plessis's excellent performances in the recently concluded tri-nation series in Zimbabwe has seen him jump 33 places to number 11 in the latest one-day international (ODI) rankings by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Du Plessis scored hit three centuries and one half-century, including a 96 against Australia in the final in Zimbabwe and scored 464 runs overall in the tournament. His compatriots AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla are on ranks one and two, respectively.
Meanwhile, despite a poor tour of England, Virat Kohli continues to be at rank three, with opener Shikhar Dhawan rising to rank seven, just behind skipper Mahinder Singh Dhoni at the sixth spot.
Among bowlers, Ravindra Jadeja is India's best on rank five, with the current top two spots belonging to off-spinners Saeed Ajmal of Pakistan and Sunil Narine of the West Indies.
