Kate Middleton borrowed a gold brooch from the Queen for St Patrick's Day celebration at the Irish Guards barracks.

The gold Cartier Irish Guards brooch, which was worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, was also worn by the Queen Mother in 2000 when she attended the Irish Guards Centenary service, the Daily Star reported.

Kate, who was present with her husband Prince William at the event, looked stunning in head-toe green and handed out 300 shamrocks to the troops.
