Top-order batsman Faf du Plessis and David Miller struck scorching centuries as South Africa set a 308-run target for Sri Lanka in the second ODI of the five-match series at Kingsmead here on Wednesday.
Put in to bat first, du Plessis smashed seven boundaries and a six in his 105-run knock besides stitching a 117-run partnership with David Miller for the fifth wicket.
Miller remained unbeaten at 117, including three boundaries and six sixes, to help Australia post a score of 307-6 in their stipulated 50 overs.
For Lanka, Suranga Lakmal bagged two wickets while Nuwan Kulasekara, Dhananjaya de Silva, Lakshan Sandakan and Sachith Pathirana all chipped in with a wicket each.
South Africa are currently leading the series 1-0 following their eight-wicket win against Lanka in the opening ODI.
