The polling for the students union in two prestigious universities, the Delhi University (DU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) took place yesterday.

"The counting started at 8:30 and if everything goes well then probably by 12 the results should be out. Total candidates were 29 and voting percentage was around 43.43," said D S Rawat, the Chief Election Officer for DUSU elections.

"Everything went smooth yesterday and no incident from any place was reported. CCTVs have been installed everywhere to ensure complete transparency," he added.

Rohit Chahal, National Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) said, "I am very confident that we will win in all four seats. I would like to thank all the students who made us win in majority of colleges.
