Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) president Aman Awama today hit out at the new proposal forwarded by the Delhi University (DU) to the University Grants Commission (UGC).
He said, "With this new formula, they are playing with the students future. Just like they got a dream of four years, today they got a dream for this formula for which they don't require the meetings of Delhi University's Academic Council or Executive Council, and they start implementing it."
The proposal that DU has sent to UGC is that B.Tech should be of 4 years and honour courses be of 3 years.
He said "Every other day, they bring a new proposal," adding, "Lots of students' future was hanging in balance because of the stubborn behavior displayed by Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh."
On asking if the tussle between the UGC and Singh could ever be sorted out, he said, "This can only be solved when they roll back FYUP.
"The formula will not be accepted and they want the three year system as it is," he added.
