A Dutch company has been recruited for 30 million dollars to lift the wrecked Costa Concordia cruise ship off Giglio Island in 2014.

The Dutch salvage ship, Dockwise Vanguard, can sink under the Concordia and then rise up to lift it, before sailing it to the destination where it will be scrapped, the BBC reports.

According to the report, the colossal salvage vessel is capable of picking up oil rigs.

Almost 32 people had died after the Concordia hit the rocks with more than 4,000 passengers and crew on board in January 2012.

The company, however, said some modifications would be required, before it is capable of carrying Concordia.
