Dutch team discusses potential areas for higher education collaboration with Amity University

Representatives of four Dutch universities visited Amity University recently to discuss potential areas for mutual collaboration in the higher education sector.

The delegation comprised of Nikola Dimitrov, Distinguished Fellow from The Hague Institute for Global Justice, Dr. Kutsal Yesilkagit, Interim Dean, Edwin Bakker, Director Centre for Terrorism and Counterterrorism from Leiden University Campus amongst others.

Dr. W. Selvamurthy President, Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation gave a brief to the distinguished members about Amity Group and how it has grown exponentially in last few years.

He briefed the members about various ongoing research projects at Amity University including an exclusive "Research and Innovation Park" wherein all the three stakeholders- such as Academicians, Researchers, Research and Development Organizations and Industry will actively contribute towards enriching the base of the country.

 

J W, Counselor, Head of Innovation, Science and Technology, Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherland expressed his delight over visiting Amity and shared that he connects the best of Indian Institutions with the best of the educational Institutions of The Netherlands. He stressed that scientists and researchers in the Netherlands are working in the areas of energy, water, life sciences, with due support from industry and government and are looking forward to the collaborations with Indian Institutions in these areas.

Also present at the occasion was Dr. Ravi Prakash, Advisor, Engineering, Design and Research, Prof. Abhay Bansal, Joint Acting Head, Amity School of Engineering and Technology and others.
