Philippine's President Rodrigo Duterte jocularly called the media 'spies' during his maiden talks with President Donald Trump.
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Manila.
According to CNN, when reporters began shouting questions, Duterte said, "we will be discussing matters that are of interest to both the Philippines and (the US) ... with you around, guys, you are the spies."
Trump laughed in response even as Duterte repeated, "yes, you are."
The meeting between the two outspoken leaders came in the backdrop of Duterte's reversal of the policy of his pro-American predecessor, Benigno Aquino.
