Monopoly publisher Hasbro has asked people to submit new ideas for potential rules on their Facebook page in an attempt to save the board game from vanishing from the gaming scene due to the advent of mobile-games like 'Candy Crush' and 'Angry birds'.
According to the Verge, while some suggested that the game could do without the rule that requires players to go around the board once before they can buy any property, another said that moms should be let out of jail for free every time, no questions asked.
The company's new approach to make the board game more exciting is an on-going effort on the publishers' part to fight against the upsurge of games available on a device.
