Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Prime Minister's Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh, reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to provide 'maximum governance, minimum government' and said that switching over to e-Governance will avoid delay in file work.
"As far as the concept of e-Governance is concerned, it is part of a global phenomena. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised on 'maximum governance and minimum government'. The delay in file work and other government works could be avoided through e-Governance," Singh told media here.
"The present government has removed many law and rules which contributed in the delay of work. We brought self -attested certificate, old age people now do not need to produce live certificate in order to claim their pensions," he added.
Singh, had earlier said that Prime Minister's vision for e-Governance, could be achieved in true spirit only when in addition to digitalization of governance and administration, digitalization of the "mindset" of common citizens is achieved.
