External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday welcomed the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan here, who is on a three-day official visit to India.
The visit, which commenced today, will culminate on October 7.
Ukraine Foreign Minister Klimkin will hold talks with EAM Sushma Swaraj as well as with other high-ranking officials.
The visit aims at restoring the bilateral dialogue and cooperation between the two countries.
The two countries will discuss preparations for the sixth meeting of the Ukrainian-Indian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical, industrial and cultural cooperation, which is scheduled for the beginning of November.
The last visit at the ministerial level between the two countries was made in 2011.
