A restaurant owner in Israel has offered 50 percent discount to people who turn off their cell phone.
Jawdat Ibrahim, owner of the Abu Ghosh restaurant in an Arab village outside Jerusalem, was tired of the couples sitting in silence, CNET reported.
Ibrahim said that he tried to encourage people to leave their phones at the door, but this proved complex.
He said that almost every customer is taking up his offer.
