Ebara conducts technical seminars for enhancing irrigation facilities

Ebara Corporation held a seminar last month to address the issue related to the type of pumps to be used for drainage and irrigation purposes at the Royal University of Agriculture in Phnom Penh.

The seminar, called "Irrigation and Drainage", was attended by the representatives of the Cambodian government and the Agricultural University.

Agriculture is the main industry in Cambodia and the northern area of the nation has been a victim of droughts and floods in recent times. Therefore, effective drainage and irrigation facilities are of

paramount importance to the local community.

Ebara has organized around 250 seminars at different locations in the world, which has drawn over 11, 000 participants, since the launch of the Ebara Hatakeyama Memorial Fund in 1989.

 

Ebara is set to conduct 10 seminars in Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Colombia, Peru and other locations in the current year.

EBARA will continue to contribute towards the development of South-east Asian and South American countries. It would do so by offering pumps and, other products and services along with organizing the technical seminars and other international cooperation activities.
