Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate on Sunday said that the Election Commission of India has failed to stop poll rigging and violence in the country and added that they should act more responsibly.
"The Election Commission has failed to stop poll rigging and violence in some parts of the country, and therefore I would like to request EC to handle things responsibly," said Modi.
"If the Election Commission feels bad about what I am saying, they are free to lodge a case against me again, but they must handle polls in an unbiased way," he said.
He also said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had tuned the state into scam-Bengal.
"Didi (Mamata Banerjee) has turned this state into scam -Bengal, the mother and son duo (Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi) have turned the country into scam India, but I just want to create a skilled-India," Modi said.
"They (Congress) sing about secularism, but what have they done for the Muslim community? Sorry that I am late today, but I promise that I would not be late in solving the problems that the Congress, the Left Front and Didi (Mamata Banerjee) have put you through," he added.
