In the wake of England's shock exit from the World Cup, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) managing director Paul Downton has confirmed team coach Peter Moores will keep his job.

The Eoin Morgan-led team suffered a 15-run defeat to a spirited Bangladesh in a match they had to win to stay in the tournament.

Backing the team coach, Downton said that Peter was brought in 10 months ago and part of that reason was because he was such an experienced coach, admitting that they were in a rebuilding phase, and it would be the wrong time to be making any kind judgement at all soon, the BBC reported.

However, Downton maintained that they would sit and review everything when they get back, adding that they have got one more game to play, let the dust settle as everyone was very emotional.
