Formula One chief executive Bernie Ecclestone has revealed that the motor-racing sport is likely to have new ownership by the end of the year.

The 84-year-old, who runs F1 Management, also said that three parties have currently expressed their interest in buying controlling interest in F1, Sport24 reported.

Earlier in June, a UK-based daily had claimed that American Stephen Ross, the owner of the Miami Dolphins NFL team, and Qatar Sports Investment had both expressed an interest in buying a 35.5 percent controlling interest in F1, currently held by CVC Capital Partners.
