Eight crude bombs exploded near the court area in the old part of Dhaka this afternoon on the second day of a BNP-led 20-party three-day strike.
According to the Daily Star, the bombs were exploded on Johnson Road a little after noon.
The daily said that police had to fire six shots in the air soon after the blasts.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police media centre has confirmed the incident.
