A powerful explosion in Balochistan's Chaman area on Thursday injured at least eight people, including two police officials.
According to the Dawn, an improvised explosive device (IED) was planted in a bicycle parked outside the residence of a government official near Chaman jail, a police official said.
The wounded also include six passersby.
This is reportedly not the first time that militants have carried out low-intensity bombings in Chaman, targeting police stations and other national installations.
The town shares a border with Afghanistan's volatile Kandahar province.
