Eight killed, 25 injured in West Bengal's bus accident

At least eight people were killed and 25 others were injured after a bus fell into a canal in Nadia's Tehatta area on Tuesday.

The accident occurred near Tehatta area when the bus lost control and fell off a bridge.

Soon after that the West Bengal Government announced ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each for the kin of those who have lost their lives in the bus accident.

The injured have been taken to a nearby local hospital and immediate treatment has been given to them.

Further investigations are underway.
