New Zealand's middle order batsman Grant Elliott has revealed that he is going to make up to his sister for not being able to attend her marriage on Friday by giving her a special gift.
Elliott hit the winning six in New Zealand's World Cup semifinal against South Africa that helped them clinch a four-wicket win to reach the tournament final for the first time.
The middle-order batsman is now on World Cup duty and his appearance in Sunday's title decider would come at a cost for him because he would have to miss his sister's wedding, News.com.au reported.
The South Africa born New Zealand batsman said that his sister has got her wedding on Friday, adding that he would unfortunately miss it and he is sorry.
Elliott said that his sister is pretty happy for him but added that he believes that he is going to have to get her a special gift to make it up to her.
