As promised, Tesla Model 3 has been announced after CEO Elon Musk teased the arrival of the car in a cryptic tweet earlier this week.
The Tesla Model 3 is lower in cost at USD 35,000. As the company explains in its blog, the Model 3 delivers 220 miles of range with a top speed of 130 mph. It is capable of rushing from 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds.
Tesla says despite the lower cost, the Model 3 comes with the same 5-star safety rating as the predecessor. There?s also a Model 3 Standard Range Plus model which is priced at USD 37,000 and offers 240 miles of range. The high-end model achieves top speed of 140 mph, 0-60 mph acceleration of just 5.3 seconds and upgraded interior.
In addition to the Model 3, Tesla also announced that it is making the purchase process easier for users. Potential buyers in North America will be able to buy a Tesla via their phone in about one minute.
For the unsure buyers, Tesla is making it easier for them to try out a car and return without any deductions. Now you can return a Tesla within 7 days or 1,000 miles for a full refund after purchase.
