An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Mujgund area on the city's outskirts on Saturday.
Police said that terrorists fired upon security forces when they were conducting searches after cordoning off the area following inputs that some terrorists were hiding there.
The encounter is currently going on between the personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and terrorists. Further details are currently awaited.
The latest encounter comes after two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Khrew area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district last week.
