England ace Jack Wilshere has advised Arsenal to bring Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney into their team, claiming he could win them the title and put 'fear' into their rivals.
According to The Sun, the Gunners made their first signing for the next season recently when France Under-21 striker Yaya Sanogo arrived from Auxerre on a free transfer, and Wilshere wanted his England teammate Rooney to join him at Arsenal because he was the player who could win trophies.
Wilshere added that oppositions were afraid just from seeing the player's name in the team and Arsenal would benefit from that.
The paper added that the club is also currently targeting Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain and Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini, both of whom are expected to command big wages.
Rooney is expected to meet new Manchester United boss David Moyes this week to discuss his future, with Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain all waiting to acquire him.
