England has moved one step closer to qualifying for the 2014 Brazil World Cup after they beat Montenegro 4-1.
According to the Mirror, Roy Hodgson was vindicated in his selection of Spurs winger Andros Townsend as the Three Lions on the cusp of World Cup qualification.
Striker Wayne Rooney scored the opening goal and Hodgson's Townsend gamble paid off, the report said.
The Three Lions played with conviction, intensity and drive, something that was lacking in their previous games, the report added.
