England will take on Norway in the second round of the FIFA Women's World Cup, finishing second in their group after defeating Columbia 2-1.
England controlled the game from the beginning and got the lead in the 15th minute of the match as Karen Carney scored from close range following Steph Houghton's free-kick.
At the half-time, England were 2-0 up as Fara Williams converted the penalty for her 38th international goal, the BBC reported.
Lady Andrade scored the only goal for Columbia in injury time to give England a few nervous moments and although England held on, they missed out on the top spot on goal difference after France thrashed Mexico 5-0 in the other Group F match.
England will now face the 11th ranked Norway in the second round match in Ottawa on Monday.
