England lead India by 49 runs at lunch on day two of fourth Test

England led India by 49 runs at lunch on day two of the fourth Test at Old Trafford, as the tourists' bowlers claimed three more wickets to the three snared on day one.

Resuming on 113 for the loss of three wickets, England went to lunch at 201 for six. They lost the wickets of Chris Jordan (13), Ian Bell (58) and Moeen Ali (13).

Two of the three wickets to fall this morning were claimed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, while Varun Aaron claimed the third.

Jordan was caught at midwicket by Aaron of the bowling of Kumar. Bell was the next to depart, caught behind by Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni of the bowling of Kumar, while Ali lost his off-stump to an express delivery from Aaron.

 

India was earlier bowled out for 152 in its first innings.
