England is preparing to unleash their speed demons Stuart Broad and Steven Finn on their arch rivals Australia in the ICC Champions Trophy game on Saturday at Edgbaston.

According to the Mirror, the pace duo confirmed they felt ready to go while bowling in training on Tuesdayat Trent Bridge, although Finn later had ice packs strapped to his sore shins.

The report said that both England captain Alastair Cook and ODI coach Ashley Giles will make a call on Broad and Finn on the morning of the game as the match is a day/nighter, for which Giles wants to give his pace spearheads a tune-up with a white ball since neither have played a one day match since February in Auckland

According to the report, a dead rubber against New Zealand would provide the perfect game to test out the pace duo's fitness and form ahead of the summer's first Australian showdown.

Confident at the bowlers return, his teammate Ian Bell said that Broad was a full flow when he faced him at the nets, adding that to have both Broad and Finn back fit is a boost for the team as they have been big performers in one-day cricket for a while.

According to the report, England will hope that both men come through the game in decent shape, because the side has looked distinctly average without them so far with an ineffective bowling, lightweight batting and below-the-par fielding.

The report further said that England however, must stick to the one day cricket gameplan they have been using in recent years because it has brought them success.
