England is all set to be a new taker of the day-night Test, with the country's board chairman Colin Graves confirming the news.

Graves revealed the board is working over the matter, but added that schedule of the match is yet to be decided, Sport24 reported.

Graves, showing his favour for the day-night Test, said new things need to be opted in order to make the longest format of the game even more exciting.

In November last year, Australia and New Zealand created history by playing the game's first ever day-night Test with the pink ball.

In an effort to make the game more exciting, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had also proposed a point based system for the upcoming tour against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, where each format would carry a weight of certain points and the winner would be judged at the end of the tour after aggregating the results of all the international fixtures.
