England plans to use the raised seam of the Duke Ball to challenge New Zealand batsmen during the two-Test series beginning this month.

After its disappointing draw in New Zealand, England and captain Alastair Cook are hoping to set the record straight with a greater focus on pace and swing, News.com.au reports.

England all-rounder Stuart Broad acknowledged that the England's bowling unit did not do well in New Zealand.

New Zealand coach Mike Hesson believed that the test series will not be a warm-up, but an interesting and competitive one between the two sides.
