England were 51 for two in the first innings at lunch on the second day of the second Test against India being played at Lord's on Friday.
Replying to India's score of 295, England lost the wickets of skipper Alastair Cook and Sam Robson for 10 and 17 respectively. Both wickets were claimed by right-arm fast bowler Bhuvanesh Kumar (two for 17 of 11 overs). They were both caught behind by Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Gary Ballance and Ian Bell are at the crease with seven and eleven respectively. England still trail India by 244 runs.
Earlier, India managed to add just five runs on Friday to their Thursday night total of 290 for the loss of nine wickets, before losing the wicket of Mohammad Shami in the second Test between the two sides being played at the Lord's cricket ground here.
Shami was caught off an outside edge by England captain Alastair Cook stationed at first slip of the bowling of Ben Stokes for his individual score of 19 with three boundaries.
His partner, Ishant Sharma remained unbeaten on 12 with two boundaries.

England needed 91.4 overs to bowl India out. For the hosts, James Anderson claimed four wickets for 60 of 23 overs; Stuart Broad claimed two for 79 of 22 overs; Ben Stokes claimed two for 40 of 17.4 overs; Liam Plunkett claimed one for 51 of 15 overs and Moeen Ali claimed one for 38 of 14 overs.
When England came into bat in the form of skipper Alastair Cook and Sam Robson, the Indian bowlers started off with a maiden. Robson edged off the bowling of Ishant Sharma in the second over. Cook and Robson have scored five and two respectively of the four overs that they have faced so far.
On Thursday, the first day of the match, it was battle between bat and ball through out the day, with India claiming the advantage in two of the three sessions. The first session went to India at 73 for the loss of two wickets. The second session went England's way, where their bowlers claimed five wickets for 74 runs, before a rearguard fight back by Ajinkya Rahane (103), Bhuvanesh Kumar (36) and Mohammad Shami (14) took the visitors to a fighting total of 290 for 9 at the draw of stumps.
