A friend of English singer-songwriter Pete Burns, who recently suffered a cardiac arrest and succumbed at the age of 57, revealed that the singer did not want to get old.

Burns was the vocalist and songwriter for 'Dead or Alive', a pop band he founded in 1980.

According to the Mirror, Pete Waterman, who remained close to Burns throughout his career with regular phone calls, said, "If you're going to be cynical there's one man who would have wanted to die young - and that was Pete Burns."

The 'Dead Or Alive' frontman played alongside Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, and Sinitta at Pete Waterman's 'Hit Factory Live' in 2012 in London.

No funeral plans have been made but Waterman added that it would be "some send-off" for an amazing showman.
