Equality campaigner says Muslim schools in UK encourage religious segregation

The chairman of the Social Integration Commission has said that Muslim schools in the UK practice religious segregation.

According to the Daily Star, Matthew Taylor said Muslim schools are of particular concern as their intakes tend to be less diverse.

He also urged the governors to take out reports on how people are mixing to prevent any kind of divisions.

Taylor is also a former advisor the to ex Prime Minister of UK Tony Blair. He argued that schools are not being able to bring different communities and cultures together.

He also said that people in the education department would see that many schools are not "terribly integrated place".
