A Delhi Court on Monday sent four persons accused of leaking confidential documents from the Petroleum Ministry to judicial custody till March 6.

Former journalist Santanu Saikia, asserting his innocence, alleged that he had been made to sign a blank paper, even as police officers escorted him towards the court complex.

Last week, Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi confirmed that several people had been arrested for their alleged involvement in the leaking of classified documents from the ministry.

The Police Commissioner informed that those arrested were temporary multi-tasking staff in Shastri Bhawan and had been indulging in such activities for some time, using fake identities to enter the building.

Two former journalists are among those arrested in this case.
