Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said the culprits involved in the suspected corporate espionage case would not be spared.

"I won't rule out any possibility. The investigation is going on and the culprits will not be spared. Delhi Police is investigating the matter, I think it will soon be disclosed how all these things were happening," said Rajnath.

He added that the central government should be commended for revealing the events.

"It should be commended that our government revealed all this that was happening since a long time. Had we not been aware, then these things would never have come to light," he added.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had lauded the Delhi Police for busting the espionage racket and added that during interrogation, the police should try to reach the top people who would benefit from the leaked information.

Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi had earlier confirmed that several people had been arrested for their alleged involvement in the leaking of classified documents from the Petroleum Ministry.

Bassi informed that those arrested were temporary multi-tasking staff in Shastri Bhawan and had been indulging in such activities for some time, using fake identities to enter the building.

Two former journalists and five senior energy company employees are among who have been arrested till now.
