European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, on Friday agreed to strengthen cooperation for counter-terrorism with India.
In a meeting, the two sides discussed regional and global developments of mutual interest and agreed on the need to strengthen the security cooperation between India and EU, particularly on the issue of counter-terrorism, according to a statement.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi recalled his successful visit to Brussels in March 2016 for the last India-EU Summit, and said that he is looking forward to the next India-EU Summit to be held in India in October 2017.
