The European Union has reached a free trade agreement with Vietnam, a second such deal with a South-East Asian country.

According to the BBC, the deal will remove nearly all tariffs on goods traded between the EU and Vietnam.

Vietnam exported 22 billion euros of goods to the EU in 2014 which included consumer electronics and textiles.

The deal will be put to effect from late 2017 or early 2018.
