Portugal have surged into the sixth spot in the latest FIFA rankings after lifting maiden European Championship title with a 1-0 win over hosts France at Stade de France.
Portugal moved up by two places in the standings while Didier Deschamps' France climbed up 10 places to the seventh spot despite the defeat.
Argentina continued to remain firm at the top of the rankings ahead of second-placed Belgium and third-placed Colombia,Sport24 reported.
Meanwhile, world champions Germany are standing fourth in the rankings ahead of double Copa America winners Chile in fifth.
Previous Euro champions, Spain are at the eighth place followed by Brazil and Italy.
