Pakistan's interior ministry said in the aftermath of Peshawar massacre, while reproducing the detention order of the alleged Mumbai attack mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, that the accused might incite violence and propagate terrorist activity to destroy peace and maintenance of public order.
Lakhvi was initially granted bail by an anti-terror court in December 2014. Later, the government detained him under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).
Lakhvi's detention was then challenged and later overturned by the Islamabad High Court (IHC), reported the Express Tribune.
The federal government had also earlier said that the accused along with other miscreants will likely cause damage to government's key installations and public important places which would destroy peach within the federal government.
