Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o has inked a two-year-deal with Everton FC after being released by Chelsea last season.

Eto'o, 33, joins on a free transfer and links up with former Chelsea team-mate Romelu Lukaku, who was signed for 28 million pounds this summer, reports the BBC.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez said he was impressed by Eto'o's hunger to play, and added that he was very excited to have him in his side.

Four-time African Footballer of the Year Eto'o scored 12 goals in 35 appearances for Chelsea after signing a one-year deal from Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala last August.

He could make his debut against his old club at Goodison on Saturday.

Eto'o began his international football career at Real Madrid.
