Premier League club Everton have slammed Manchester United's double bid for Leighton Banes and Marouane Felaini as derisory and insulting.

According to the Mirror, Everton felt so aggrieved by United's behaviour they put out a statement saying that the club can confirm it has received bids from Man United for two players and those bids were immediately rejected out of hand as derisory and insulting.

Despite Everton's anger, United are in no mood to back down and are ready to increase their offer to 33 million pounds, the report said.

It is understood United are prepared to pay 21 million pounds for Fellaini and 12 million pounds for Baines, and will make one last try to prise the pair away from Goodison Park, the report added.

Everton was upset after Moyes revealed Sir Alex Ferguson approached him before the Merseyside derby at the start of May when they were still looking to qualify for a Champions League place, the report further said.
