Former Colombian forward Faustino Asprilla has reportedly used his flamboyant footballing skills to inspire a new range of funky-flavoured condoms as the Newcastle United legend revealed that he was releasing the new selection of 'Tino' in a new business venture 16 years after leaving St James' Park.
Asprilla revealed the range in Colombia this week, with the selection coming in all sizes and a range of tropical flavours. The Colombian, who retired from football in 2004, revealed that he would recommend the 'guava flavour' condom.
The former Colombian forward said that when he was growing up, they had a guava tree in their garden and added that that is a flavour and aroma that's very good for romancing, The Daily Star reported.
Asprilla confirmed that he would be launched worldwide but stressed that the contraception was aimed at helping social issues in Colombia. He said that some of his friends in Medellin came up with the flavoured condoms idea, and he thought it would be fun to help out.
Asprilla said that the main goal for him, really, is to support a campaign to prevent Aids and teen pregnancies, with a line of condoms, and added that he thinks it is a really cool idea.
Asprilla, who scored 18 goals in 59 games for the Geordies, has been promoting healthy sexual habits for the past few years. The former goal machine was offered a lucrative offer to feature in a porn film last year but happily declined, the report added.
