Former England batsman Geoff Pullar, who was voted one of the Wisden's Cricketers of the Year in 1960, has passed away at the age of 79.
The former Lancashire and Gloucestershire batsman made his first international debut against India in July 1959 and went on to appear in 28 Test matches for his country.
His brilliant knock of 131 against India at Old Trafford in his second Test was the first century scored by a Lancastrian on his home ground of Old Trafford, Sport24 reported.
Pullar played his final match against Australia in Adelaide in January 1963.
