Former English footballer Wayne Bridge has warned Chelsea not to sack their manager Jose Mourinho, insisting that they would regret by doing so.

Mourinho's job came under scrutiny following his side's repeated poor performances in the Premier League.

The 35-year-old further described Mourinho as one of the best managers, insisting that he would bring success in any club he would join.

According to Bridge, Mourinho should be given time at least until the end of the season, the Mirror reported.

Earlier, Chelsea had failed to part ways with their miserable season as they crashed to their ninth defeat in 16 league games with a 2-1 loss to leaders Leicester City.

Chelsea will now lock horns with Sunderland on December 19.
