Former Governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer and his wife Silda Wall have filed for a contested divorce after 26 years of marriage.
The filing between the former "Love Gov" and his wife comes almost six years after the Democrat was caught in a prostitution ring scandal and he resigned from office, the New York Daily News reported.
The couple had issued a joint statement last month announcing that their marriage was over.
