Colonel Muammer Gaddafi's former security chief has revealed about the slain dictator's harem of women and his voracious sexual appetite.

Mansour Daw, who is currently being held in a Libyan prison awaiting trial for war crimes, has revealed that the dictator kept the harem under lock and key and even established an entire government department whose job was to provide him with prostitutes.

A French journalist and author Annick Cojean, who has penned the book titled 'Gaddafi's Harem', has accused the Libyan dictator of enslaving young women throughout the country and shaming them to keep silent.

Daw, in his interview with Cojean, revealed that Gaddafi raped hundreds of women and would call on their services day and night adding that those who participated and knew about it were quickly promoted in the government department, news.com.au reports.

He further said that Gaddafi looked for women everywhere and even pick up prostitutes on the street adding that he would even take the women and girls overseas under the guise of being his bodyguards, the report added.
